Mr Laws and Mr Caruana are contracted by Western Sussex Hospital Trust to provide vascular surgery across Sussex. As Specialists in Vascular Surgery and part of a much larger team we're able to offer local care to our patients with the benefits and support of a larger tertiary, teaching hospital. Because we specialise in vascular surgery our treatments are tailored to your individual needs so what ever the problem you can be sure to receive specialist care and advice close to home.Consultant Surgeons: Mr Peter Laws MBChB FRCSI (Gen Surg) Mr Laws is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon working within the Western Sussex Hospital Trust and Brighton and Sussex University Hospital. He offers out-patient facilities in both trusts in addition to performing elective and emergency arterial and venous surgery across both sites.
His post graduate training was predominantly in the West Midlands with two years research at the University of Adelaide and a further year as a vascular fellow at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Adelaide in South Australia. He has published in numerous peer review journals and been fortunate enough to present at both National and International meetings.

Mr Mario Caruana MD MSc FRCSEd (Gen Surg) EBSQVasc
Mr Caruana is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon working at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and the Western Sussex Hospital Trust. Besides providing a full vascular service to patients in mid-Sussex, he regularly performs emergency surgery as well as renal vascular access surgery on patients from Worthing, Brighton, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings. After performing research on gene therapy and transplantation in London, he underwent extensive training in vascular surgery both in East Anglia and in Birmingham. He has a keen interest in all aspects venous surgery particularly in laser and radiofrequency treatment of varicose veins as well as in the use of sclerotherapy. He also has an interest in sweating disorders. He enjoys living close to the South Downs with his wife and three children. Mr Caruana has teamed up with Mr Peter Laws to provide a consistent and bespoke service aimed at focusing on individual patient needs and wishes.
